The future of the planet: human over population

Many scientist as well as mystics (past and present) predict an uncertain and perilous outcome of our fragile blue planet. Are they are right? My intuition says YES! If humans will not change their behavior then this planet is doomed. For instance, there are too many people already on the planet and we have ideas set in our minds from television shows glorifying mothers having numerous offspring to out dated religions commanding their followers to populate the earth. Is it not common sense that humans should only have one offspring to replace themselves? Our numbers have grown expedentially over the past few decades, and I hope this emerging era of Aquarius will develop a new conciousness among humans to fully understand that all can play a roll to save our planet by only having one progeny.
